Book Club restaurant is a California-inspired neighborhood restaurant in the Armatage neighborhood of SW Minneapolis. We feature wood fired meats and seasonal vegetables in a contemporary and warm environment.
We are looking for a passionate and experienced Restaurant Supervisor to join our team! The perfect candidate will be a part of a team which is responsible for managing and directing daily operations, and most importantly, upholding our standards of excellence and hospitality. The ideal candidate will have previous FOH & BOH management / supervisory experience in a high volume, casual or fine dining restaurant. We are looking for someone with a passion for and experience with exceptional food, craft beer and cocktails, as well as a demonstrated ability to have fun at work. Basic Excel skills and Microsoft Word knowledge required. Experience with Aloha POS system is a plus! Key Elements, Tasks and Responsibilities of the Job:
-Ensure that we are providing excellent service to every customer, every time
-See to it that food and beverage quality is always up to snuff
-Help train and coach staff; both in the dining room as well as the kitchen
-Ensure the working and dining environment for our staff and customers is always safe
-Be very hands-on on the floor by running food, bussing tables, and managing wait lists
-Daily bookkeeping, payroll and other administrative tasks
-Programming and maintenance of the Aloha POS system
This is a part time hourly position, 20-30 hours per week.
Must be able to work, mostly on your feet, 6-8 hours per day, and lift and carry up to 40 lbs.
