Seeking Personal Care Assistants (PCAs)
for an easy-going, independent male quadriplegic living in Roseville, MN (private home). I work full-time from home, enjoy TV and movies, and like getting out on weekends. I have good arm use, drive a modified van, and use a power wheelchair.
Position Details
Weekend Shifts:
- Typically 9 AM–1 PM and 7 PM–11 PM, some flexibility
Extra bedrooms and a private bathroom are available if it is easier to spend the night.
Duties (Training Provided)
- Dressing assistance
- Bathroom assistance (bowel program)
- Range-of-motion exercises
- Meal preparation
- Laundry & light cleaning
- Grocery shopping
- Safe transfers to/from wheelchair
Note:
I’m 5'11", about 130 lbs, and can assist with transfers using my arm strength.
Qualifications
- Responsible, honest, and trustworthy
- Reliable transportation required
- Fluent English speaker
- Must be 18+
- Ability to provide safe physical transfers
- Must pass a Minnesota DHS background check
- Closest bus line is about one mile away
Compensation
- $20.00 – $22.50 per hour, paid through an agency.
