Heartwood Tree Surgeons began in 1971, under the name of Tim's Tree Service.
The founder recently retired, and the staff has gotten younger and energized about new possibilities. A lot of great things are happening and evolving to serve the environment, our people, and the urban forest that we manage.
We are actively converting the business to a Worker-Owned Cooperative, which will be the first tree service in the nation to accomplish such a radical idea.
We employ 8 full-time Field Arborists. We are seeking someone with at least 2+ years of climbing, and has the leadership and teaching mentality to also lead the skills and development all Field Arborists. About 80% of your time will be on active job sites as a Production Arborist, and time will be set aside to reach individual and team goals of skills development.
There will be financial incentives in the development of others.
