Must be over 18 yrs old have Reliable transportation and live within 30 minutes of farm location in Chaska, MN
Long Term opening
PT or FT position available Mon, Tues, Wed, (Friday?) and Saturday
hours are 8am to 5pm. you must be able to work every Saturday or you can work a trade with other workers.
pay starts $13 and will Immediately go up when you show you can work alone. Barn is heated and arena too.
Duties would include feeding, grooming, blanketing, then hand walking each horse to/and from assigned pastures, cleaning stalls/paddock areas, adding shavings as needed, filling water buckets, and sweeping. General cleaning of the barn and other outside maintenance duties. Very fun job working with animals. BUT. you need to have a can do attitude and be a hard worker.
YOU MUST BE ABLE TO LIFT 70 pound hay bales.
We use a Gator and a Bobcat to help (if you can drive them).
We have a large garden in the summer so There is always something to do on a farm!
