Description
The Sorter is responsible for safely and efficiently processing incoming recyclable materials so that outbound commodities are acceptable for sale to various brokers or mills. The principal responsibilities being sort and segregate recoverable materials (e.g., aluminum, plastic, glass, paper, etc.) from incoming waste. 45 hour work weeks.
Job Responsibilities :
Deposit recoverable materials safely and efficiently into appropriate chute. Assist other sorters on an as-needed basis with heavy or bulky items. Inspect incoming loads for unacceptable waste; remove unacceptable items as required.
Providing your own Steel Toe boots. Must be able to stand for long periods of time. Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs. with assistance. Sort material clean into chutes. Responsible to keep your work area clean and safe.
