EDI ANALYST - TECHNICALJob Summary: Talent Software Services is in search of a EDI Analyst - Technical for a contract to hire position in Minnetonka, MN. Position Summary: The EDI Analyst provides support, management, and capability advancement for our internally-developed and vendor applications.Primary Responsibilities/Accountabilities:
- Outline and present system design options for decision
- Translates business/user requirements to technical specifications and non-functional requirements for development using various approaches (user stories, system flows, context diagrams, source to target mappings, etc.)
- Serve as liaison for business, developer and QA to ensure solution delivery aligns to system requirements
- Adheres to solution architecture approach, architectural standards and best practices
- Conduct Proofs of Concept (POCs) to evaluate new functionality or new ways of leveraging existing capabilities
- Process Improvements Recommend and implement changes via automation, simplification and efficiency measures.
- Bachelor's degree in a Computer Science or related technical discipline; or the equivalent combination of education; technical certifications or training; or work experience
- 3+ years combined experience in one or more of: Technical or EDI Analyst, Data Analyst, application development or technical architecture
- Experience as an analyst in Systems, Business, and Data Analysis
- Experience creating mapping documents between Healthcare EDI (ANSI X12) and internal data structures
- Experience with Health Insurance business
- Competency in requirements elicitation from stakeholders, critical thinking, and systems analysis
- Competency in understanding and documenting: use cases, user stories, system/process flows, system/business context diagrams, and business/systems requirements documentation
- Experienced with defining system requirements and data mapping for Web services (SOAP and REST) including ability to test and validate service call
- Experience using query tools to interrogate DDLs to understand data model and do data analysis on a case by case basis
- Able to write basic and complex SQL queries in PL-SQL and T-SQL against Relational Database technologies (e.g. Oracle, MS SQL Server)
- Experience working with closed vended solutions with ability to dig in and quickly become system SME
- Experience in application support and troubleshooting in a multi-application environment
- Unix/Linux/Windows Experience
- Working experience in Agile
- Strong analytical, interpersonal, problem solving, organizational, and time management skills
- Can work independently; is self-motivated and deadline driven
- Able to work on multiple concurrent tasks, both administrative and project-based
- Strong written skills for developing and maintaining system documentation
- Able to translate business concepts to technical audience and technical concepts to business

- Background working on Agile/Scrum methodology teams
- Knowledge of information technology operational support processes and methodologies as well as knowledge of best practices and procedures
- Solid technical understanding of application development, system monitoring and building and deployment tools and techniques
- An understanding of troubleshooting procedures and the ability to develop troubleshooting practices
- An understanding of how system components enable business processes and ability to communicate clearly to IT and business partners and to at all times be able to interact with others in an effective manner. As one example, the incumbent must translate business requirements into technical requirements in a format that is understandable to both the business user and the technical implementer
- Experience with software quality assurance methodologies
- Familiarity with production acceptance and change management processes
- Solid working knowledge of Microsoft product suite.
- Experience with Enterprise Application Integration technologies (ex. TIBCO BW JMS, Kafka)
- Familiarity with Application Development tools (.NET, JAVA)
