Solution ArchitectJob Summary: Talent Software Services is in search of a Solution Architect for a contract-to-hire position in Minnetonka, MN. Position Summary: Solution Architects are accountable for solution designs that satisfy business and technical requirements for projects, programs, or domain level technical implementations. The ideal solution architect will be a deep subject matter expert (in a given domain) but also a generalist with the ability to work across different Business (e.g. claims, provider, member) and IT domains (e.g. integration, data, infrastructure) as needed. These architects are also accountable for working with delivery leads, technology teams, and business owners to explain designs and associated implications. In partnership with stakeholders and within assigned domains, these architects also build long-term roadmaps and future state architectures that align with IT Strategy, Enterprise Architecture principles and technical standards.Primary Responsibilities/Accountabilities:

  • Design solutions that satisfy business and technical requirements through the appropriate use of Data, Solutions/Applications, Security, Infrastructure and Business Capabilities.
  • Work with delivery teams to implement solutions and enable complete understanding. Govern appropriate use of technology and implementation through these engagements.
  • Exercise strategic vision through future state architectures and roadmaps that align domain technical and business capabilities with broader enterprise and technical strategies.
  • Communicate technology decisions and associated implications across both technical, business and project/program stakeholders.
  • Provide technical thought leadership to domain and program teams that enable innovation and continuous improvement of Medica's technology and business platforms.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in related field
  • 7 years of related work experience beyond degree
  • Demonstrated understanding or architectural patterns and designs
  • Demonstrated experience building artifacts that represent various technical designs and views
  • Broader understanding of multiple technical domains, with deep understanding within one or more
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated experience building roadmaps that represent strategic evolution of a technical or business domain
  • Background in application development, infrastructure, security of other technical disciplines.
  • Ability to work remotely during the COVID pandemic, and ability to work in an office setting upon full return to work.
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum methodology
  • Self-starter who can work independently
Preferred:
  • Experience in Healthcare preferred, with previous Engineering, Product Owner, or Architecture role responsibilities
  • Experience working with health insurance applications/systems including claim adjudication platforms (e.g. Health Rules) and related systems such as enrollment, benefits, and medical records
  • Experience with multiple application integration patterns, including Service Mesh, API, Streaming, Event/Pub-Sub, and batch/ETL/ELT
  • Exposure and implementation on Cloud-based application and services environments (Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud, Amazon Web Services)
  • Experience with CRM system implementations and integrations (Salesforce, MS Dynamics 360)
  • 3rd party system and vendor integrations (clinical, telemedicine, health rewards, directories, etc) via SSO or API integration.
  • Experience with Document Management platforms (LaserFiche)
  • Experience with healthcare interoperability standards: HL7, FHIR
  • Experience with technical standards:
    • Identity & Authorization : OpenId, SSO/SAML;
    • Mobile/Web: CSS/JavaScript, HTML; Native and Responsive applications
  • Development and Data access skills with systems and information via : API's, SQL, XML/JSON/CSV layouts, and Oracle and SQLServer
  • Experience with Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)
  • Strong understanding of CI/CD & Automation techniques and practices.
