Direct HireSalary: $65-74k POSITION PURPOSE:This position provides analysis, design, programming, and support of key components in our SAP ERP application platform in an efficient and economical manner throughout the company. NATURE AND SCOPE:Perform analysis, design, implementation, and support of assigned areas of our SAP system. Analyze methods of obtaining identified information, analyze relevant information and explore alternatives, prepare design, and program specifications to meet user requirements, design appropriate forms and reports, test and implement solutions within established timeframes meeting user requirements. The SAP Software Developer 1 works on existing and assigned projects/systems with expertise and support provided by Sr SAP ABAP developers and Basis staff on the team. The team works in a highly collaborative manner, so this position satisfies independent work and team collaboration work. KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:
  • BS or MS degree in Computer Science or relevant experience in software development.
  • 3+ year(s) understanding and proficiency with an object-oriented programming language such as C# or Java and experience with scripting languages.
  • Experience with SAP ABAP development in ECC or S/4HANA preferred.
  • 1+ year(s) fundamentals in object-oriented design, database design, API/RFC connections, and custom Exits.
  • Robust communication skills required. You have the ability explain complex technical concepts and designs to internal customers. You have excellent customer service skills and provide end user support.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
  • Design, develop, test, debug, document solutions in SAP ERP (ECC 6.0, soon to be S/4HANA) including customized reports, utilities, interfaces, and forms, using the ABAP development language.
  • Learn, support, and maintain existing business systems, interfaces, and integrations.
  • Provide timely resolution, which may require after-hours support, of production problems with assigned systems.
Work Environment | The individual must be able to work in an environment with multiple interruptions, office noise, and competing and changing demands. The individual must be able to work extended days as workload requires. Physical Requirements | The individual must be able to, throughout the day, input and access information from the computer system, perform extensive keyboarding functions, type and use the phone system.
