- As an Informatica Admin for Power Center & Data Quality administer existing clusters and domains of Informatica within the enterprise.
- Manage new installations, hot fixes, configuration, and troubleshooting of Informatica platform including hardware, and software.
- Conduct architecture assessment, capacity planning, system architecture design for high availability and load balancing/grid configuration of Informatica.
- Plan, test, and execute upgrades involving Informatica components.
- Ensure Informatica platform stability and security and manage high availability.
- Design, document, and implement administration procedures, security model, backup, and failover / recovery operations for Informatica platform.
- Perform Informatica product & OS level statistical monitoring and performance tuning
- Provide troubleshooting and diagnostic support plus will be responsible for incident, problem and service outage management
- Understand and study new features released by Informatica and share the knowledge within the team.
- Provide operational support and remediate security vulnerabilities.
- Participate in a rotating on call schedule.
- Automation
- Be able to automate the installation, configuration operation and monitoring of Informatica components using a wide variety of tools.
- Be able to build, scale and secure Best Buy Informatica platforms focused specifically on a fully automated Linux environment
- Develop scripts leveraging scripting technologies such as Shell, Chef and Ansible would be a plus.
- 6+ Years of ETL development and administration experience on Informatica Power Center/ Data Quality and its sub-products
- Experience with Integration to key databases like Teradata, Oracle, MS SQL, Netezza etc.
- Experience with Integration to LDAP and Messaging systems like IBM MQ
- Experience in Linux\Unix shell scripting
- Experience utilizing industry standard technologies and methods to ensure integrity and recoverability of platforms
- Experience working in a cross functional team in an enterprise IT environment
- Strong leadership and communication skills and able to work independently.
- Experience in managing offshore resources
- Proven strategic and critical analysis skills
- 1 or more years of experience using automation and configuration management tools such as Chef, Ansible and Puppet
