Description: Select Milling, LLC, a family owned and operated company located near Claremont, MN, is seeking a detail oriented Feed Mill Operator to assist our team.
Hours: Typically, Monday - Friday from 7 AM - 5 PM; times may vary based on business needs, which may include weekends.

Essential Duties
Utilizing computer-operated machinery associated with feed production
Communicating and collaborating with our sow units, nurseries, finishing barn technicians and contract growers daily
Perform and monitor proper documentation of the batching, grinding, and loadout process
Responsible for proper feed and load out scheduling, as well as proper bin management and utilization
Load and unload incoming and outgoing ingredients and feed mixes, both bulk and bagged products.
Perform facility maintenance and housekeeping throughout the feed mill
Must have basic mechanical/electrical aptitude, must have efficient problem solving skills with a critical thought process to fix things on the spot while keeping feed mill operations moving.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Previous feed mill experience, Preferred
Must have basic computer skills and willing to learn new skills and technologies, as needed
Must be able to operate a forklift and a pallet jack
Ability or willingness to learn how to operate feed truck to fill in as needed
Must be able to work independently and as a team
Physical Requirements
Possibility to work in outside environments (including inclement weather) on a daily basis. The ability to lift 60 pounds easily without risk of injury. Frequent moderate noise level within mill. Must be willing to work in high places and in confined spaces and follow OSHA safety rules.
