The Hampton Inn Rochester South is located on South Broadway, two miles south of downtown Rochester. Our focus service hotel is looking for Room Attendants to join our busy and professional team. Ideally, you'll have some prior experience in a hotel environment, be able to demonstrate initiative and be someone who has the reputation for delivering great service and being fun to work with.
Room Attendants deliver a comfortable stay by delivering an excellent accommodation to our overnight guests. Additionally, Room Attendants fill in as needed to make our hotel sparkle, working as lobby and public area attendants. Some Room Attendants also work in our hotel laundry.
Essential Job Functions:
Provide warm and friendly interactions with our guests and team members
Clean and prepare guest rooms according to standards within allotted time frame by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, and vacuuming.
Change bed linens and replace towels and other amenities
Clean and polish furniture and fixtures; dust furniture, walls and equipment.
Notify managers concerning the need for repairs in guest rooms
General Qualifications and Requirements:
High School diploma preferred.
Previous housekeeping experience or equivalent training preferred.
English is not required, however the ability to adequately communicate with English speakers is a requirement
Work Environment & Other:
Work schedule varies and may include working on holidays and weekends.
This is a physically demanding job. Requires standing for extended periods, walking, pushing and pulling, reaching, bending, squatting, kneeling, lifting up to 30 pounds and use of cleaning chemicals.
Communication skills are utilized a significant amount of time when interacting with others; demonstrated ability to interact with guests, employees and third parties that reflects highly on the hotel, the brand and the Company.
Problem solving and basic reasoning are required for all positions.
