The Senior Electrical Engineer is responsible for the leadership and technical development of all electrical systems and components within the unit design and associated systems. This includes developing the electrical design standards and the associated automation that will be used by the engineering team. This position will also assist the Engineering Manager with mentoring junior engineers and technicians throughout the development cycle to support their professional development.

Oversee electrical system designs to ensure adherence to documented electrical standards.

Lead the development of electrical documentation as needed by manufacturing to support their productivity goals and objectives.

Lead and oversee the standardization of electrical systems by standardizing at a level that allows for flexibility for our customers while maintaining a low cost design.

o Standardize portions of the electrical systems to allow engineering personnel to take multiple pieces of the standardized electrical sub-system and create an entire electrical design for the unit

o Standardize sequence of operations by application to allow easy modification for engineering personnel.

Collaborate closely with manufacturing to listen to the voice of the internal customer to deliver electrical designs that meet or exceed their needs.

Oversee electrical system compliance with third party certification (i.e. Intertek) in adherence to nationally recognized standards.

o Keep certification reports up to date product design and component changes.

o Manage certification reports with third party certification agency

o Develop new certification reports as required to ensure products meet local, state, and national safety codes and regulations.

o Manage non-conformances to existing certification reports that arise during periodic audits.

Qualifications:

Education:

B.S. Degree or M.S. Degree in Electrical Engineering or other related field.

Coursework and seminars in electrical systems design.

Experience and Knowledge:

Minimum of 5 years of experience in Electrical Engineering or in related field.

Minimum of three years of experience in the HVAC industry with one or more progressively managed companies.

Sound knowledge in electrical engineering theory and design criteria in the HVAC industry.

Sound knowledge and past experience in desiccant and refrigeration technology is desired.

Understanding and experience in applying electrical designs in a manufacturing environment.
