As a Lead Architect in the Corporate & Shared Systems organization, you will help lead the effort to create the "north star" technology architecture that powers a global, Dow 30 company. In this role you work closely with senior Technology and Business leaders to understand the gaps and opportunities that exist and then identify new and emerging technologies that will transform and optimize our business. You will also work within our community of architecture leaders, charged with establishing and evolving a unified architecture vision. While we take our responsibilities seriously, we also believe in having fun, supporting one another, and building a team that we want to be a part of and work with each day.Required experiences and skill set:
  • Proven expertise in Cloud Architectures, preferably Amazon Web Services
  • Experience identifying key capabilities and requirements and using a framework to assess the relative strength of solutions options to solve those needs
  • Experience integrating third party products in an enterprise environment
  • Modernization of legacy products with software-as-a-service or cloud-based solutions
  • Thorough understanding of the benefits APIs and API management solutions.
  • Experience solving for non-functional requirements such as security, performance, and availability.
  • Broad knowledge of programming disciplines and application hosting technologies
  • Strong analysis skills - ability to dig in and understand complex models and business processes
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills are key, as well as the ability to work effectively across internal and external organizations and virtual teams
  • Ability to be hands-on, performing proof-of-concept or proof-of-technology of solution options.
Preferred Qualifications

Familiar with Agile Development Methodology

Deep knowledge of at least one programming technology

Experience with microservice development

Experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery practices

Familiar with Cloud Foundry

Minimum Qualifications
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • 5 years of experience in enterprise, application, and/or information architecture required.
  • 1 year of experience as a technical lead required.

Education, Work Experience, & Knowledge
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
  • 7 years of experience in enterprise, application, and/or information architecture preferred.
  • 3 years of experience as a technical lead preferred.
  • Experience managing others preferred.

Technical Knowledge:
  • Has a broad conceptual understanding of capabilities and direction of technology, coupled with an in-depth knowledge of the technology required and the needs of business environment necessary to support assigned projects.
  • Shows ability to elicit complex requirements and translate into target and transitional architectures
  • Experience integrating third party products in an enterprise environment
  • Modernization of legacy products with software-as-a-service or cloud-based solutions.
  • Experience establishing and maintaining software-as-a-service arrangements in a complex ecosystem.

  • Demonstrates advanced analytical and diagnostic skills dealing with issues that are often novel and not readily defined, lack known precedent or appear contradictory.
  • Able to develop solutions by applying accepted processes or creating new approaches to leverage technology from abstract information.
  • Sees the big picture, and is fully aware of technology and business directions.
  • Has department, corporate and group objectives in focus while identifying and removing barriers.
  • Optimizes the use of all available resources.
  • Bases decisions on an accurate understanding of the situation, is able to infer future needs of known and unprecedented situations based on an advanced understanding of technology and business objectives.
  • Effectively assesses the long-term and short-term implications of decisions on the department, corporation and group.
