Our client is seeking a

Manufacturing Engineer to join their team based in Roseville, MN. Reporting to the Manufacturing Engineering Manager, the Manufacturing Engineer will analyze, design, implement, test, and train on our production processes and equipment. Responsible to lead in the improvement and implementation of manufacturing processes. This position works closely with production, and the New Product Introduction teams applying the principles of Design for Manufacturing DFM. This role is also responsible for the continued implementation of lean throughout the production lines and identifying new opportunities or changes in business needs.

Essential Job Responsibilities: Responds to production non-conformities and calibration out of tolerance reports. Improves manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning work flow, space requirements, and equipment layout. Assures product and process quality by designing testing methods; testing finished- product and process capabilities; establishing standards; confirming manufacturing processes. Provides manufacturing decision-making information by calculating production, labor, and material costs; reviewing production schedules; estimating future requirements. Prepares product and process reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.

  • Evaluates manufacturing processes by designing and conducting research programs; applying knowledge of product design, fabrication, assembly, tooling, and materials; conferring with equipment vendors; soliciting observations from operators. Completes design and development projects by training and guiding technicians. Familiar with design and process validations Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies. Keeps equipment operational by coordinating maintenance and repair services; following manufacturer's instructions and established procedures; requesting special service.
Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in an engineering or technical discipline Minimum of two (2) or more years of engineering work experience. Minimum of one (1) or more years of direct experience using CAD ( Computer Aided Design ) software Strongly preferred someone that has experience working with sonic, spin, heat, injection molding or any processes requiring multiple process settings

  • Experience working in a Clean Room Environment
  • Working with products in the Bio-Medical or Medical device fields CAD, preferable Pro-E/CREO Project management training, certificate preferred, or equivalent experience. Dealing with Complexity, Informing Others, Leadership, Supervision, Hardware Specifications, Manufacturing Methods and Procedures, Manufacturing Quality, Product Development, Presenting Technical Information, CAD.
