Mainframes PL1 Developer who has experience in AS400 /PL1 / Mainframes Application Maintenance and Support and global delivery model. This position will interface with key stakeholders and apply technical proficiency across different stages of the Software Development Life Cycle including Requirements Elicitation, Application Architecture definition and Design; play an important role in creating the high-level design artifacts; deliver high quality code deliverables for a module, lead validation for all types of testing and support activities related to implementation, transition, and warranty. This position may require travel in the US and Canada. Bachelor s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education. At least 4 years of Information Technology experience. At least 4 years of experience in developing and maintaining applications on AS400 Technology. Has troubleshooting Skills. Well versed with ITIL Processes.Preferred Qualifications: At least 5 years of experience in Mainframes technologies (AS400 / PL1, DB2), and its related technologies. Ability to understand and define and translate complex business requirements into appropriate implementation artifacts. Experience and desire to work in a Global delivery environment and work in a team as per the agreed processes and timelines. Ability to perform code reviews and adherence to code and design standards. Ability to perform Maintenance and support activities of various mainframe subsystems, interfaces and work with a global team as per the SLA requirements. Experience and understanding of Agile Environment, Application Support Processes and Workflow tools like ServiceNow, JIRA etc.The job entails sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods of time. Should be able to communicate by telephone, email, or face to face. Travel may be required as per the job requirements.
