The IT Corporate Systems Architect is responsible for the architectural design, development, and planning of the enterprise's overall IT systems and security across locations. This individual will gain organizational commitment for IT systems, platforms and software plans. In addition, the IT Corporate Systems Architect will provide technical leadership to ensure the overall architecture is maintained in a manner consistent with standards, security, best practices, and maintainability and based on company needs and requirements. The IT Corporate Systems Architect is a core member of the IT leadership team and IT corporate team.

Duties

Systems Design & Architecture (IT Infrastructure) Design technical solution set for Strategic IT projects and initiatives, monitoring and providing system architecture guidance through deployment. Analyze business and technical requirements to ensure alignment with system architecture, effective integrations with existing systems and security considerations that support company s goals. Partner with stakeholders, to gather and document high-level business needs for Feasibility Assessments and ROIs and to engage with vendors to develop technical solutions. Collaborate with the IT Operations Manager for vendor selection for hardware, installation, operation, support, and maintenance of IT infrastructure. Develop and execute test plans to verify technical performance of IT systems and report findings. Based on findings, make recommendations for improvement. Develop policies/procedures to standardize systems, improve security and improve the user experience. Work closely with IT Operations Manager to ensure alignment on projects, priority, and timing. Assist IT Operations team on projects and IT support as needed. Strategy & Planning (IT Infrastructure) Develop and implement short and long-term strategic goals to improve IT systems and security across locations to meet company goals. Collaborate with key stakeholders to develop technology product and platform roadmaps, ensuring strategic alignment of IT systems with current and future systems. Research new technologies and develop plans to leverage new technologies and platforms to improve cost-effectiveness, increase reliability, increase customer satisfaction, and improve flexibility. Serve as a technical expert resource for customers on Information Technology planning as it relates to hardware, software, security, and services development. Provide management communication, status reports and recommendations periodically to ensure alignment of the plans and designs for IT systems. Customer Focus (IT Infrastructure) Develop and maintain a relationship with customers and IT leaders to position the IT Corporate Systems Architect role as a trusted partner for IT needs. Collaborate with customers for IT solution development including technical feasibility, ROI, design of solution, setting expectations on outcomes, priority and budgets. Dedicate time and resources to better understand customer processes, customer challenges and opportunities related to IT. Build alignment with customers on projects and technology product roadmaps related to IT. Communicate digital concepts and technologies to customers & business leaders, and business concepts to technologists.Security Design IT security policy/procedure and design solutions based on security assessments, recommendations, and best practices working closely with the vCISO and Information Security Steering Committee. Serve as the primary point of contact from the IT team with the Information Security Steering Committee. Lead response to incident management working closely with IT Operations Manager. Support IT Operations on security initiatives as needed.

Education/Experience Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or Business Master s or other advanced degree preferred. Minimum 10 - 15 years of Information Technology experience required. Ability to influence decisions and build consensus with stakeholders for architecture strategy and product roadmaps

Skills Knowledge and experience in Security best practices, IT systems/infrastructure design, network design, Microsoft stack technologies, Office 365 applications, Database Design, Virtualization Technologies (VMWare) and Operating systems Knowledge and experience in network protocols and best practices Advanced knowledge of Internet (cloud hosted) applications and the Microsoft Office Suite Experience with ERP systems required. NetSuite experience preferred.
