We are seeking an energetic, service oriented, positive and self-motivated Assistant General Manager to join our exceptional team. The Assistant General Manager will report to the General Manager and the Director of Operations and will work closely with all departments of the hotel. Applicant should possess excellent guest service skills and previous hotel or resort management and/or supervisory experience with a proven track record for success

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Build and foster Front Office Staff. Create an environment that's engaging, where team members want to join, learn, do their best, and advance. Lead a team by example, by empowering and coaching

Interview, hire, coach and counsel team members in the efficient operation of their respective areas

Ensure excellence in guest services while overseeing Front Office, Guest Services, Marketing, Administrative and Meeting functions

Oversee hotel operations to ensure a safe, comfortable environment for guests to enjoy and where team members can excel. When complications surface, make it right for the guest and open communication for team members

Team up with Sales. Brainstorm and implement occupancy and revenue strategies

Keep a pulse on operational and financial performance. Actively participate in the budget process and accurately forecast for optimal staff and supply levels for an exceptional guest experience

Act as Manager on Duty as the need arises

REQUIREMENTS:

A minimum of 1-2 years hotel, resort or cruise ship supervisory and/or management experience is required

Should have knowledge of all aspects of hotel operations, including thorough knowledge of Front Desk Operations

Must be able to speak, read, write and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace

Strong Leadership skills and the ability to effectively select, motivate, develop and retain staff

Ability to manage change effectively with clear, concise written and verbal communication skills

Team building effectiveness with excellent organizational skills to include time management, ability to delegate, and managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Knowledge of computers.

Possess an aptitude to create a fun, rewarding and professional work environment

Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally

Valid Driver's License required with a clean driving record.
