Position Summary:
As a member of the weld department you will be responsible for effective and safe daily activities in the weld shop.
What you will do:
- Must perform work allocated to production and quality standards
- Must be capable of obtaining a structural welding certificate (CWB)
- Must have thorough knowledge of all types of wire feed or MIG welding procedures utilized by company
- Must be able to work from blueprints, process sheets and any other supporting document as required including standard work instructions (SWI)
-Work within close tolerance and maintain high quality welds
- Troubleshoot and problem solve weld issues
-Must regularly lift and move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and move up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to bend, stoop, and reach
- Must be present on the job to perform assigned duties and be able to work overtime which is occasionally required to meet production schedules
- Must perform other duties as assigned to include 5S, self-inspections and total preventative maintenance (TPM)
Preferred skills:
- Welding diploma from a Technical College or 2 years of welding experience
- Good communication skills, ability to work with little supervision, and ability to work in a team environment
- Must have exceptional attendance
- Ability to read and follow intermediate measurements and instructions
