The Educational Assistant serves as academic or behavioral support to a student or a small group of students in the classroom. In addition, the Educational Assistant creates an inclusive and welcoming environment for our parents and scholars. Implement instructional resources for a small group of children in the classroom

Create a positive educational climate for students

Participate in ongoing professional development and coaching

Modify lessons during the course of the school year to meet student needs

Utilize curricula that reflect the diverse educational, cultural, and linguistic backgrounds of the students served

Follow the school-wide behavior system

Establish and maintain strong relationships with all children

Maintain communication with students' parents or guardians

Support accommodations during school-wide assessments

SKILLS

Demonstrated knowledge and ability to work effectively and relate comfortably with children and their families

Ability to work independently and as a team member

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Associate Degree or passing score on the paraprofessional assessment.

Experience working with children

Strong planning and time management skills

COMPENSATION Salary for this position is very competitive and commensurate with experience.Prodeo partners with a variety of universities and teacher preparation programs to support EAs and staff in pursuing their Bachelors Degrees and Teaching License.
