Ledgent Technology is partnering with an industry leader in Fintech to search for a Database Developer. The Database Developer will create and support new ETL and database processes in service of Fintech business. This is a direct hire position that will have a hybrid/remote schedule.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS- Write excellent T-SQL that is both performant and conforms to coding standards
- Develop ETL packages in SSIS to provided specs, ensuring load accuracy and performance
- Build end-user reports in SSRS transforming data per business requirements and presenting it in a clear format
- Evaluate and improve existing code base including SSIS, SSRS, and T-SQL objects
- Assist in production support on-call rotation
- Demonstrate excellent documentation skills, prioritizing clarity and succinctness
- Understand basic concepts of performance tuning and assist in troubleshooting/improving existing processes to be more performant
- Demonstrate excellent communication skills particularly in the ability to interpret business requirements and interface with business lines for greater clarity
- Work well in a team atmosphere where one is comfortable assisting other team members and being assisted by them
- High school degree or GED Required
- 2 Year college degree/certificate or business-related field preferred.
- 4-5 years SQL Server/ETL experience required.
- Experience in the financial industry preferred.
- Experience with FTP technology preferred
- Excellent troubleshooting/problem solving skills required.
- Superior skill set in the use of the following software applications: Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- A comprehensive skill set in SQL Server development methodologies and relational database concepts is required.
- Experience working with flat file ETL development preferred
