Excels in a fast-paced healthcare sales-support role

Demonstrates comprehensive knowledge of the healthcare industry, including both hospital based as well as care continuum medication management and supply chain processes. Has a thorough knowledge of nursing, pharmacy, and materials management practice/workflows, and BD’s medication management dispensing, infusion, and supply solutions.

Expertly performs complex customer current state assessment and creates a compelling future state case to meet customer’s strategic objectives/vision. Ensures customer strategic goals and implementation of solutions are aligned across the business.

Effectively communicates and collaborates with team members (internal and external) to drive alignment on recommendations and proposed solutions. Engages appropriate implementation resources to support successful implementation based on customer stated goals and objectives. Remains point of contact through the completion of the engagement.

Possesses dynamic presentation skills and excellent business writing skills.

Strategically works with sales and customer service organization to prioritize activities.

Collaborates with implementation and support service resources to ensure customer is optimizing/applying solutions to achieve strategic goals and objectives identified at beginning of project, if applicable.

Handles multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizes tasks based on organizational need and judgment, and is productive working independently in remote office situations.

Mentors internal staff regarding best demonstrated practices.

Accountabilities:Provides sales consultation and workflow analysis of existing processes within the medication management and supply chain systems. Identifies current areas of inefficiencies, patient/provider safety concerns, revenue augmentation, cost reduction, regulatory non-compliance, and drug diversion opportunities. Performs workflow redesign with practice change recommendations and accompanying BD solutions to facilitate achievement of industry standard processes and customer strategic goals.

Provides clinical consulting support primarily for sales to develop customer specific strategic BD solution roadmaps. Remains engaged through customer lifecycle as strategic point of contact.

Collaborates and builds collaborative partnerships with all members of the Sales team, Marketing, Product Research and Development teams, Interface Teams, Implementation & Support teams, Customer Advocacy, and Training.

Stays active and engaged with important healthcare related organizations to stay abreast of healthcare trends and changes in Pharmacy/Nursing practice that impact our business or customers. Acts as an inspiring leader to readily share healthcare knowledge with internal and external customers.

Functions as the voice of the Customer.

Applies up-to-date knowledge of the healthcare industry to provide clinical input for new product development and software enhancements.

Experience and Education:QualificationsAdvanced degree preferred

5+years of experience in an acute care hospital environment

Hospital departmental management/leadership experience required

Up to 75% travel required, including nights and some weekends

National/Strategic IDN experience strongly preferred

National IMME IDN collaboration strongly preferred

Geographic proximity to Strategic IDN customer alignment strongly preferred

Valid driver’s license and clean driving record

Broad MMS product knowledge is strongly preferred

Experience with infusion systems using safety software/dose error reduction software
