Job Description
Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Reviews the job, understands scope, and prepares pre-task plans to perform work in a safe manner and in accordance with Conduct of Operations
- Identifies emerging issues and implements corrective actions
- Obtains the corresponding work permits and communicates effectively with operations team or other impacted work groups to ensure effective hand-offs
- Performs quality and timely maintenance work in a safe manner
- Closes out work orders efficiently
- Keeps work areas clean and orderly
- Identifies hazards and mitigates them appropriately
- Performs and completes root cause analysis.
- Provides feedback on task instruction
- Follows safe work procedures or adjusts working conditions in order to complete work safely
- Works with Stores Program Owner to make sure that parts are available when and as needed
- Communicates to Asset Leader if additional resources are needed to safely and reliably perform the scope of work
- Assists with oversightof contractor work execution
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- HS diploma or GED is required
- Minimum of 3 years required (5 years preferred) of verifiable Industrial Maintenance work experience including:
- Basic understanding of electricity, pneumatics and hydraulics
- Welding and machinist experience preferred
- Boilers license preferred
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Ability to prioritize work and work well with others
- Ability to work with limited supervision
- Good verbal and written communication skills
Environmental and physicalrequirements include but are not limited to:
- Overtime
- On-Call rotation
- Working in confined spaces
- Standing, walking, and climbing stairs and ladders
- Regular crouching
- Ability to wear respirator (when required)
