Our client in Greenville, MS is seeking a Supply Chain Lead for a full time/direct hire opportunity. Great opportunity for growth, skill development, and project exposure with this group!

What you will do:

  • Establish and manage procurement strategies, inside and outside of SAP, to ensure proper inventory levels and safety stock levels are maintained for incoming raw materials
  • Communicate as needed with Strategic Supplier Management group to ensure materials are ordered according to contracts and up to date pricing
  • Coordinating with Senior Procurement Manager - develop, document and implement procurement processes
  • Lead inventory team to assure accurate shop orders; WIP and packaging paperwork for production. Look for methods to streamline and make system more efficient
  • Issue and track new product specific lot numbers into SAP as it's introduced into production
  • Monitor and assist when needed to verify accuracy of daily paperwork including batch sheet information entered in SAP. Work with Production to correct error points in the process to eliminate errors and rework in the process flow
  • Help to drive new Tolling opportunities for the Purchasing and Production processing systems in SAP
  • Prepare reports for Tolling customers as required (receiving, shipments, production, inventory, damages, etc.)
  • Maintain communication with CAGY railway for inbound and outbound cars and other rail related issues
  • Act as SAP system expert on transactional processes and apply multiple troubleshooting/research abilities within SAP to determine potential errors and correct them
  • Develop solid documented work processes with crosschecks to ensure processes are well established and followed

What you will bring:

  • Bachelor's degree required; may consider relevant supply chain experience in lieu of a degree
  • 7+ years of supply chain experience required, including one year of mentor, supervisor, or leadership experience
  • Computer experience with Microsoft office required, specifically Excel and ability to manipulate and analyze data, knowledge of or ability to function using pivot tables
  • Strong understanding and working experience with SAP or other ERP system highly preferred
