Support Slack’s strategic business objectives by defining and executing a best in class Product Communications strategy, while also leading and building out a world-class Product Communications team

Directly interact and establish relationships with journalists, media outlets, industry peers, and other external stakeholders to drive thought-leadership and brand awareness

Build a roadmap for evangelizing the Slack technology narrative, and use that story as a major driver and differentiator for the business to drive category creation

Effectively counteract and overcome misinformation within the market, as well as responding to reputational challenges as they arise

Develop cross-functional partnerships with the extended team across C-Suite, Product, Engineering, Marketing Sales, Finance, Legal, HR and other key partners across the programs your team owns

What you should have:12+ years of experience in the Technology Communications space; Enterprise technology experience preferred but not required

Exceptional leadership and people management qualities with the ability to win hearts and minds, communicate clear direction and strategy across the organization, and inspire and mentor a growing team

Expert interpersonal, written, and public speaking skills

Demonstrated track record of leading operations, programming, and strategy for Communications teams – including deep expertise with messaging, content strategy, defining success metrics, crisis communications and response, and a media practitioner

Ability to resonate across a wide swath of audiences from the general public to the analyst community, product and engineering audiences, large enterprise organizations, and your Slack colleagues

Deep understanding and passion for the nuanced global Communications ecosystem and the beating pulse on which it operates
