Construction General Laborer II
We are accepting applications for efficient, safety-minded laborers for commercial and residential flooring system installations and remodel construction. Working hours for this position will be based on the job at hand. Applicants should have commercial and residential construction industry experience and access to reliable transportation. Additionally, he or she should be familiar with construction industry safety standards and procedures to ensure project security. Travel may be a requirement. Therefore, willingness to travel up to 12 hours in a day and work out of town for up to 5 days at a time if needed.
Responsibilities and Duties
Give directions
Follow directions
Able to work in a team setting
Must be responsible to work with minimal oversight
Perform setup and cleanup tasks at job site
Endure constant bending, stooping, kneeling, pushing and pulling motions
Climb to heights and conduct work with proper safety restraints
Lift heavy loads up to 70 lbs
Organize, load and unload materials by hand or with a dolly
Mixing and pouring construction material
Operate hand tools
Operate power tools
Perform general maintenance of construction equipment and vehicles
Provide labor support as needed for specialty crew
Understand and follow OSHA guidelines
Qualifications and Skills
Must be at least 18 years of age
Good knowledge of English (spoken and written)
High school diploma/GED preferred
Basic understanding of construction principles and procedures
2 or more years of Construction job-site experience preferred
