As a Senior Architect Analyst supporting the VA Enterprise Security Architecture (ESA) Modernization Support project, you will be trusted to work actively with GDIT security and Cyber-Security professionals to support our VA customer. Our mission within the VA is to ensure Veteran’s information, VA information systems and infrastructure is cybersecurity ready. GDIT will accomplish this while ensuring the resiliency of VA’s cybersecurity infrastructure through proactive monitoring, adaptive responses, adherence to Federal requirements and best practices, and the recruitment, retention, and development of a world-class cybersecurity workforce.The ideal Senior Architect Analyst will have vast experience in coordinating with program and project leaders to analyze system architecture. This resource will be able to thoroughly identify strategies for addressing requirements, risks, and issues as well as be able to conduct detailed trade-off analysis of requirements against fiscal, schedule, and performance issues. The right candidate will be able to quickly resolve issues and create architectural vision for the team.RESPONSIBILITIES :Provides technical, administrative, and operational leadership to assigned project or tasks
Has thorough knowledge of security principles, concepts, policy, and regulations.
Ability to identify risks in security systems and work with technical experts to resolve security issues.
Ability to identify key concepts, factors and risks based on conversations and document these in clear and concise narrative or graphic reports.
Provides guidance and work leadership to less-experienced technical staff members.
Works on and sets priorities on multiple projects/tasks at once and operate in a dynamic, fast-paced team-oriented environment.
Maintains current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned.
Participates in special projects as required.
Validates that documentation is accurate, complete, meets editorial and government specifications
Acquires subject knowledge by collaborating with analysts and engineers.
Assists in coordinating projects from the planning stage, provides additional or missing materials, and edits for content format, flow, and integrity.
Research topics and collaborate stakeholders to understand communication product requirements; analyzes business problems and helps prescribe communication solutions.
Assist in the deconstruction and interpretation of requirements supporting team projects
Commit to staying abreast of both emerging technologies and evolving customer goals and objectives
Oversee the design of both new and existing IT modernization, expansion, and improvement projects; analyze, evaluate, and plan methods of approach
Serve as a subject matter expert within a team engaged in the technical design and engineering functions
Collaborate with fellow teammates and VA counter parts on complex architectures and recommend improvements
QUALIFICATIONSRequired Skills and ExperienceMaster’s Degree in Engineering or related scientific or technical discipline with a minimum 10 years of architecture experience. Ten (10) years of enterprise architecture experience may be substituted for education
Requires familiarity with network concepts, user authentication, and digital signatures
·Have extensive experience in taking program requirements and is able to create an architecture vision having experience in high volume and high availability networks and systems.
·Experience in creating and conveying to team members the architectural vision for a program or project
Must have extensive experience in the coordination of program and project leaders to identify requirements for system architecture
Ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance
US Citizenship is required

Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer
VMWare Certified Professional
Cisco Certified Design Expert
AWS Solution Architect Professional
Azure Solutions Architect Expert
CISSP-ISSAP, ISSEP, CEH
Strong knowledge of IT Development, Engineering, Integration & Testing processes
Experience managing enterprise networks, network devices and cybersecurity core services
Familiarity working with VA information systems
Active VA clearance
Strong verbal and written communications skills
Ability to effectively plan and prioritize tasking and communicate clearly regarding technical options and trade-offs
Knowledge of technology integration processes
Ability to brief technical and non-technical audiences and communicate on security threats, vulnerabilities, and risks
