ASRC Federal Data Networx is seeking a

Deputy Program Manager (DPM) for an ongoing Army contract supporting the Department of Defense (DoD) High Performance Computing Modernization Program (HPCMP). This role will support the Program Manager and a team of over 150 technical and business professionals in providing high quality center operations, maintenance, and management to four DoD Supercomputing Resource Centers (DSRCs). The DPM will work closely with the Government project managers in planning and execution of tasks and projects to ensure requirements are met, communication is open and transparent, and any issues are resolved in a timely manner.

Responsibilities:
  • Report to the Program Manager (PM) and perform the PM's tasks/responsibilities when the they are not available
  • Collaborate with the PM and DSRC Site Leaders to organize, lead, direct, and manage the team across disciplines including: operations support, including system integration, system administration, network administration, information assurance, facilities support, database administration, maintenance management and execution for the facility, and hardware and software
  • Partner closely with DSRC Technical Leads on the operational aspects of the program including: authentication, availability, and utilization of HPC systems and tools
  • Interface with the US Government HPCMP Customer as needed
  • Gather data and generate/develop the CDRL deliverables for review by the PM
  • Manage the data repositories used for organizing and storing programmatic data
  • Manage and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs)
  • Interview applicants for selected open positions; review and provide recommendations on personnel actions including promotions, merit increases, staff changes, and disciplinary actions including terminations.
  • Manage new employee in-processing, including badging, desk location, laptop distribution
  • Manage travel requests and trip reports
  • Ensure adherence to an ISO 9001-based Quality Management System

  • Possess at least a Bachelor's degree in finance, business administration, supplemented with a computer science and/or information systems or other related discipline with a minimum of fifteen (15) years management experience plus a minimum of ten (10) years IT organizational support management experience in the technical areas indicated for this role
  • Must be a US Citizen and possess an active Secret or higher clearance and be clearable to the Top Secret level or be eligible to obtain the clearance
  • Must have knowledge and experience in support of a large HPC environment
  • Management experience should include HPC operations and maintenance, engineering, logistics, and procurement, preferably in the DoD environment
  • Experience in vendor negotiations and management
  • Excellent communication, problem solving, conflict / resolution management, active listening, time management, and interpersonal skills required
  • Demonstrated consistent ability to lead cross-functional teams and deliver technical solutions while mitigating or removing hurdles / obstacle
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Proficient using MS Office
  • PMI Project Management Professional Certified a plus
  • Working knowledge ITIL or CMMI for Services, as well as Quality Management Systems (e.g. ISO 9001) with certifications a plus
  • Familiar with DoD 8500.1 Information Assurance requirements a plus
