- Required: database administration (DBA) experience, preferably Oracle but will consider experience in other environments including PostgreSQL, SQL Server or other.
- Desired: A minimum of 10 years of experience in Spatial Database Administration and systems testing;
- Desired: A minimum of 3 years of experience in NGA Spatial Database Administration, and testing;
- Desired: experience and thorough understanding of the following databases: Oracle Spatial, PostGIS/PostgreSQL.
- Desired: 5 years of Spatial Database Administration experience working with NGA and Mission Partner Programs;
- Desired: Familiarity with NGA's Configuration Management and Request for Change (RFC) process for review and impact assessment.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Tool suite including Word, PowerPoint and Excel;
- Desired: B.A. or B.S. degree in an associated technical discipline; M.B.A., M.S., or M.A. desired or 5 years of equivalent work experience.
- Professional certification(s) in spatial database tool suites preferred.
- Thorough understanding and working knowledge of industry GIS tool suites to include GeoServer and ArcGIS Server.
