Find your future with us.Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) is seeking Experienced Phantom Works Structures and Sub-Systems Strength Engineers (P3) for the Phantom Works Division located in Berkeley, Missouri, MO or Hazelwood Missouri, MO . As a member of this team, you will be responsible for the structural performance and structural integrity of air vehicle components.Phantom Works programs develop complex, highly integrated, advanced systems, enabling future growth for Boeing and our Department of Defense (DoD) Customers. Position Responsibilities Include:Your duties as an engineer will include (but are not limited to):Perform structural analysis tasks

Coordinate with other engineering groups to establish the product’s environment

Guide product design and verify structural integrity by using analytical methods, finite element models / simulations and other analysis tools throughout the product lifecycle to develop the structural environment, characteristics and performance

Develop test plans and configurations, support test execution, and analyze test results to validate and verify systems and components meet requirements and specifications

Define and document certification and test results to substantiate for customers and regulatory agencies that requirements are satisfied

Investigates emerging technologies to develop future product designs to meet projected requirements

Support internal / external design reviews, technical interchange meetings (TIMs), preliminary / critical design reviews (PDR / CDR) with Customers

Pursue process maturity to reduce costs

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.This position requires an active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (US Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)This position requires ability to obtain program access, for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship only.B asic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in Aeronautical/Aerospace/Astronautical, Civil or Mechanical Engineering

3+ years’ experience working with Finite Element Models (FEM) and tools (NASTRAN/PATRAN)

3+ years’ experience of structural analysis on military aerospace products

3+ years’ experience with design/analysis of metallic and composite structure.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):Experience with the analysis and design of advanced composite structure

Experience with low observable structures and materials

Experience with the full air vehicle development cycle

Experience in a rapid prototyping environment

Experience with structural configuration work

Strong background utilizing classical hand analysis as well as finite element methods and tools

Typical Education/Experience (EXCLUDE FOR MANAGER ROLES):Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience).
