Find your future with us.The F-22 Raptor Program is seeking an Electrical Subsystems Lead Engineer for the air vehicle subsystems team in St. Louis, MO. The Boeing Global Services (BGS) team works closely with the United States Air Force and industry partners to sustain and modernize the Raptor to ensure fleet readiness and continued air dominance. Subsystems that the individual would be responsible for include but are not limited to: Harness & Interconnects (H&I), RADAR, and Power Supplies & Software/Controls Lab.Position Responsibilities:Leads a team of engineers responsible for the development and field support of electrical subsystems, radar, and controls for the F-22 fighter

Works closely with other engineering disciplines in an integrated team environment to develop interface definitions and subsystem requirements

Leads detail design development, including spatial integration of CAD models, for subsystem components and installations as part of multi-disciplined team

Supports the maintenance and modification of platform subsystem designs/drawings to provide documentation to downstream users

Responsible for trade studies, design reviews, analyses, simulations and component/system testing to ensure delivery of products that meet or exceed customer requirements and expectations

Investigates and troubleshoots anomalies in fielded hardware and software over the entire product lifecycle

Collaborates with other technical and non-technical disciplines to support Program execution

Assists Supplier Management and Provisioning with technical evaluations, sole source justifications, and stock listing of electrical components

Monitors supplier performance to ensure system integration and compliance with requirements

Responsible for preparing technical documents for presentations and customer reviews/proposals

Works with customers to develop and document electrical system requirements on complex multi-tiered projects

Security Clearance:This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship.An interim and/or final U.S. Top Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):Possess a Bachelor's, Master's or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics)

Experience in systems design and/or systems analysis and/or systems integration

Experience working in a professional environment

Experience in leadership either formally or informally leading teams in a cross-functional environment

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):Experience working with aerospace vehicles and their components, including company and industry standards and practices

Experience analyzing data and generating metrics reports

Experience in Computer Aided Design (CAD), utilizing model based definition (Catia V5 or later versions)

Experience with reading and interpreting drawings, specifications, material processes, schematic and diagrams

Experience working with or supporting military aircraft

Typical Education & Experience:Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.Relocation:This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility .Hybrid:This position allows telecommuting. The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options.
