Louis, MO area to lead the division Mass Properties team, ensuring technical excellence on programs while supporting the professional growth and development of mass properties engineers. The selected candidate will also be responsible for day to day mass properties leadership and execution on a key Phantom Works proprietary program. Top candidates will possess strong leadership, technical, and interpersonal skills with a passion for developing others while establishing an engaging and team focused culture.Position Responsibilities:Oversee mass properties execution across Phantom Works programs, working closely with key mass properties subject matter experts (SME’s) across the division.

Ensure mass properties staffing support to programs.

Facilitate and promote collaboration and sharing of mass properties knowledge, best practices, and experience through Design Practice development.

Advocate for the needs of Phantom Works programs and oversee development/enhancement of mass properties methods, processes, tools and MBE solutions.

Support the professional development of a core team of mass properties engineers across Phantom Works programs.

Lead proprietary programs mass properties efforts including planning and scheduling, mass properties control and management, mass properties database development and maturation, weight status reporting, drawing releases, and the development of key mass properties program deliverables.

This position allows some telecommuting. The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at the listed location.This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):Bachelor's, Master's or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry.

8+ years of Mass Properties experience.

1+ years of experience in a team lead or management role.

5+ years of experience with 3D modeling software and product data management tools such as Unigraphics (NX), CATIA, and Teamcenter.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):Active Secret U.S. Security Clearance or above.

Aerospace knowledge of fixed wing military aircraft in key disciplines (Airframe, Avionics, Propulsion, Subsystems, etc.).

Experience with mass properties reporting in alignment with SAWE Recommended Practice 7 & 8 or MIL-STD-1374 mass properties weight control standards.

Experience using a mass properties database to track weight, center of gravity, & inertia data.

Experience with advanced weight estimation methods development.
