For Victorian based employees, the compliance date is 26 November 2021.All other global Boeing locations do not have a vaccination requirement at this time.The Boeing AvionX Defense Mission Computing (DMC) organization is seeking an experienced Mid Level Project Management Specialist to provide project leadership to a multi-disciplined engineering team in support of existing and future computing solutions for multiple IR&D projects, aerospace and defense customers.The Boeing AvionX DMC team produces computing solutions for deploying multi-level security solutions, networking and open architecture embedded processing products that are applicable to a wide variety of manned and unmanned airborne platforms across the aerospace and defense sector. The AvionX DMC team is a large multi-discipline team working together to design, procure, integrate and produce the avionics for multiple product lines.The Boeing AvionX DMC team also produces the software architecture, software infrastructure, middleware and software support tools for teams utilizing these cutting edge avionics products. The AvionX DMC team leverages its enterprise investment (research & development) strategy, diverse program experiences, broad engineering expertise to rapidly develop prototyping products, capability demonstrations and sustain/maintain production products in use or under contract for a wide variety of customers and potential customers. This broad set of objectives and opportunities provides the AvionX DMC engineering workforce with a wide variety of experiences, opportunities and challenges to help grow their career and technical expertise in the areas of their choice.Due to many recent successful acquisitions such as T-7A, MQ-25, F-15EX and the F/A-18 Block 3 upgrade, as well as many ongoing proprietary interactions, the Boeing DMC team is currently experiencing an exciting time of growth and expansion into new technology areas. The AvionX DMC team is looking to hire motivated engineering personnel with a desire to work on developing computing solutions of today and tomorrow.Position responsibilitiesDevelops overall project plan consistent with project objectives as defined by the project owner and key stakeholders in accordance with accepted project management standards in the industry (e.g., PMI, Project Management Body of Knowledge [PMBOK], ANSI, and ISO standards)

Works to improve project management processes and business systems that support project decision makers. May lead others and direct all phases of projects or subsystems of major projects from inception through completion.

Acts as primary project contact to establish key stakeholder requirements and project objectives.

Ensures that all project control systems within the scope of the project are in place and integrates project data for decision makers.

Provide project leadership in key development, production, agile processes and research areas

10% travel will be required for projects

Candidates must be flexible to accommodate travel requirements and be willing to travel to the Berkeley, MO site as required by business needs

This position allows some telecommuting. The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at Berkeley MO.This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S.Secret clearance Post-Start is required.Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):6 + years Project leadership experience

Experience with Program management best practices

Experience with schedule and budget management, stakeholder communication, as well as understanding of execution of program planning to ensure cost, schedule and requirements are met

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):PMP Project management professional certification

Experience/knowledge of responsibilities & tasks performed by various engineering disciplines.

Experience working with and partnering with cross-functional teams on projects and initiatives.

Technical, written and verbal communication skills.

Strong communication and leadership skills

Typical Education & Experience:Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 6 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+4 years' related work experience, 10 years' related work experience, etc.).Relocation:Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position.
