Find your future with us.Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a Software Product IPT Lead to join the Multi-Domain Special Programs & Capabilities Team in Berkeley, MO.Boeing Phantom Works Multi-Domain Special Programs & Capabilities creates next-generation technologies, products, and services for the Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) business.Specifically, we work with proprietary customers in the development of next-generation technologies in BDS’s Special Technology Integration (STI) portfolio, which includes observables, self-protection, communications/networks/command and control, and distributed sensors. Phantom Works is the front end of the business in BDS, with a focus on maturing technology, rapid prototyping, and transitioning of mission-focused technologies for a variety of customers.Our group works all facets of engineering from technology investment; concept development; proposal writing; requirements generation; and design, build, integration, test, and demonstration of products in their relevant environments.You will be a part of the Multi-Domain Special Programs & Capabilities Team within Boeing Phantom Works , chartered with developing differentiated capabilities and services by relentlessly pursuing innovation in design, thinking and execution. The goal of this position is to develop, integrate, and evolve the various MD-SP&C software products and capabilities into a new revenue generating product line.This position will report to the MD-SP&C Vice President and lead a matrixed team, with integrated support from Digital Acceleration (DA), chartered with the mission of “productizing” software products for customer sale.Key functions in the IPT include engineering, requirements development, customer relationships, legal/IP, config management, validation/certification and sustainment support. This team will play a key role in developing, integrating, demonstrating, productizing and sustaining the various SW capabilities emerging within the JADC2 market area.Position Responsibilities:Manages direct report and matrixed employees performing IPT functions/activities within multiple (2 or more) engineering and business disciplines.

Develops and executes integrated departmental plans, policies and procedures and provides input on departmental business and technical strategies, goals, objectives.

Acquires resources for department activities, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements.

Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports.

Collaborates with cross-function teams to develop, demonstrate, market and sustain software products as an output of MD-SP&C goals and objectives

Provides oversight and approval of technical/program management approaches, products and processes.

Collaborates between various related skillsets, functions and teams to manage and guide a successful outcome.

This position allows telecommuting. The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options.This position requires an active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):Bachelor’s of Science (or greater) from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or chemistry, or other technical degree

5+ years of Project Management experience

5+ years of experience leading and influencing people in a matrix organization

3+ years of experience in Software Engineering

Experience in advising and influencing engineering managers to meet technical objectives, cost/schedule targets and technical or operational problem resolution

Ability to mobilize several cross-functional teams and drive multiple programs and work streams towards a unifying set of objectives

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):Experience with engineering value stream and product lifecycle

Experience with Agile practices and processes

Experience leading development projects using DevSecOps, cloud native development, and software factories
