Just as Bayer supports farmers in growing more food with fewer resources, the Data Science team partner with scientists to develop tools to optimize the scientist's daily work. These tools enable data collection, data connectivity & analysis, reporting, and storage & retrieval. This partnership is facilitated by the Business analyst who will be the supporting the development of these tools.Today, our team is focused on the development of applications for the automation of documents, Workflows and NLP related data science tool. Additionally, we partner to enable bidirectional connectivity of our applications to other IT tools in the organization. We are looking for a Business Analyst to support the development scalable software solutions. And to be part of a team that's responsible for the full software development life cycle, from conception to deployment. As a Business Analyst, you should be comfortable around requirements gathering for software development, software lifecycle management and agile methodologies and you would also be a team player with a knack for visual design and utility. The successful candidate will be responsible for helping to maintain and upgrade existing software as well as testing and deployment of new software. An ability to understand the business nuances and the connectivity between different teams will be critical.Bayer hires curious, self-directed learners who keep these skills up to date with the latest technologies. They are excellent communicators who persuasively promote innovative new approaches that bring value to their customers.Areas of focus:•Help develop strategic software and applications by capturing customer requirements and use-cases with good documentation.•Conduct software testing (automated and manual) in preparation of software production release.•Support cross-functional partnerships focusing on delivering digital tools to global and regional teams.•Work collaboratively with end-user teams in mapping project workflows.•Address software production issues from end-users; trouble shooting issues, prioritizing and working with Developers to resolve in timely manner.•Track issues and collaborate with regional & global teams in managing software projects and software life cycle management.•Collaborate with other BAs and software developers to monitor product use and customer training, including collecting customer feedback and develop plans to enhance the product experience and customer journey.•Conduct software testing (automated and manual) in preparation of software production release.Qualifications•Bachelors in STEM or related field (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) and 2+ years of experience working as Business Analyst in software development/ IT field.•Advance level in MS Office (Excel, Word, Power point), Visio/MS Project.•Experience working in scientific fields.•Ability to understand and implement complex business processes.•Ability to execute complex, quantitative analysis and share recommendations via compelling presentations and storytelling.•Ability to drive collaborations to achieve major initiatives and decisions.•Comfortable in a fast-paced environment - working with ambiguity and being hands-on.•Ability to lead gatherings of a diverse set of stakeholders, facilitating efficient meetings that drive to desired outcomes.•Highly independent, goal-oriented, strong communication skills and solution-driven.
