Location: Creve Coeur, MO 63141Duration: 6 monthsData ScientistA potential candidate is expected to: • Design prescriptive type analytical models using commercial languages/systems/solvers (OPL, CPLEX, IBM DOC), ad-hoc heuristics or metaheuristics.• Clearly be able to define and articulate objective function and constraints of such business problems that are aligned with broader company goals.• Execute benchmarking studies, lower bound analysis, demonstrate prior experience on solution quality and runtime performance improvement techniques.• Work closely with the software engineering team in the delivery of the developed models.Requirements: • PhD in Mathematics, Statistics, Industrial Engineering, Operations Research or a related field with statistics courses/publications/proven expertise or Master's degree plus 2 years of industry experience.• Proficient in optimization theory, mipgap analysis, production deployment of optimization models.• Ability to work in a highly interactive, team-oriented environment. Comfort in communicating technical content in an easy to understand way• Proficiency of at least one of Python or R is a must-have and working knowledge of the other.• Working knowledge of the following programming languages such as SQL, Java, Javascript is a plus.
