We are looking for an Industry Advisor to join our Manufacturing & Distribution team which is part of the WWT Global Enterprise Sales (GES) team. What will you be doing? We are looking for a leader in manufacturing and/or distribution operations with experience that spans Industrial Operations and Information Technology. Prior business and sales experience is strongly desired. A successful candidate will possess an entrepreneurial spirit and an ability to be nimble, creative, and innovative. They will have strong business acumen and communication skills with a proven track record of building consultative relationships with teammates and clients. The Industry Advisor will have experience in consulting, solution development, and business process design, coupled with experience applying technology solutions to the business, financial and technology needs of companies in the manufacturing and distribution sectors. The Industry Advisor will be a key part of the Vertical Business Development organization, primarily supporting the pursuits of sales opportunities in commercial manufacturing and distribution accounts. They will develop and present sales deliverables including presentations, proposals, and financial analyses. The Industry Advisor will be instrumental in the development of new technology and service solutions that enhance the overall WWT portfolio of offerings, promote the business relevance of WWT and align to serve the best interests of our customers. As a member of the Manufacturing & Distribution Vertical, the Industry Advisor will support our sales teams and play a key role in driving overall profitability and continued growth of the organization while bringing meaningful impact to our clients globally. Responsibilities: Build relationships and collaborate comfortably with internal, partner, and client leadership. Operate independently where appropriate to drive success for WWT and clients Sales Engagements and Solution Development

  • Assist our sales teams in the strategic identification and qualification of sales opportunities
  • Collaborate with sales to support key account planning initiatives
  • Engage customers to identify and define key business imperatives / challenges
  • Develop technology and services solution framework that will address identified challenges. Once developed, collaborate with relevant WWT science, technology and services practices to finalize the detailed technology solution and services required to deliver.
  • Present proposed solutions, how they address customer needs, and expected outcomes
  • Assist with customer success assurance and customer relationship management
  • Support formal RFP's functioning as the industry "voice" that aligns WWT technology and service solutions to customer's business and operational needs
Passion for Learning
  • Work closely with CSE (Consulting Systems Engineers) and TA's (Technical Architect's) to understand the benefits of our technical solutions
  • Learn (and teach others) how our information technology solutions address industrial / operations challenges in manufacturing and distribution.
  • Remain current on the latest OEM (Cisco, EMC, VMware, etc.) technologies through participation in both internal and external training
  • Remain current in understanding competitive market positioning
Industry Thought Leadership
  • Serve as a brand evangelist and thought leader, presenting at conferences and national meetings
  • Remain current on the rapidly changing Manufacturing business landscape
  • Actively participate in select Industry Trade Shows
  • Provide ongoing sales training and education for industry-relevant WWT solutions
  • Remain current on the manufacturing & distribution regulatory, operations and business landscape
Solution Portfolio Development
  • Identify trending needs with our clients and within the industry
  • Engage WWT science, technology and service practices to evaluate and develop new offerings
Qualifications:
  • 7+ years sales, engineering or business experience:
  • Leading / Operating / Supporting manufacturing and/or distribution environments
  • Developing information technology solutions and applying to industrial operations
  • Experience in process manufacturing industries a plus (i.e.: pharmaceuticals, consumer goods, food & beverage, etc.)
  • Ability to work through uncertainty and incomplete data sets
  • Ability to extract and synthesize relevant information from various sources and provide insights to internal and external customers based on those sources
  • Ability to work independently yet collaborate well with teams across the organization
  • Experience in data analysis, financial analysis, process design, and general system knowledge
  • Strong organizational and communication skills (written, verbal, presentation)
  • Strong relationship building skills
  • Ability to travel up to 40-70%, occasionally on short notice
