RESPONSIBILITIES:Kforce has a client that is seeking a Software Engineer I in Fenton, MO. The Software Engineer will provide the full range of software support for development and maintenance of custom software and hardware systems.
Responsibilities: Software Engineer will be responsible for operating, supporting, maintaining, developing, integrating, and deploying software that supports the business; Codes and tests software based upon software specifications and designs; Analyzes and studies complex system requirements; Designs software tools and subsystems to support software reuse and domain software development; Uses sound software engineering principles to ensure that developed code is modifiable, efficient, reliable, understandable, and fault tolerant; Provides software process management and control throughout the coding portion of the software development process; Writes technical architectural documentation; Provides technical leadership on strategic initiatives: 60% Works directly with customer and/or IT personnel as well as 3rd party vendors on collaborative technical solutions; Identifies customizations as well as enhancements to the system framework that can improve group efficiency; As a Software Engineer, you participate in user acceptance testing for product releases; Identify and update knowledge bases as appropriate; Provides active participation in product releases; Provides onsite and after hours support as required of all applications supported by the team: 40%REQUIREMENTS: BS or MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering or other related technical field or 1-2 years of equivalent related experience At least two or more years of experience using any or all of the following: C# or C; Java; J2EE; Perl; JavaScript; XML; HTML GUI development 1-2 years of SQL experience; Experience with creating database objects: views; Stored procedures; UDF's; And tables for Relational Databases (Microsoft SQL Server 2005 and above, Entity Framework) Experience with web technologies (HTML, DHTML, XML, CSS, and JavaScript, AngularJS, jQuery, MVC) Experience in Web Services implementation Superior communication & comprehension skills with technical & non-technical personnel, both written and verbal Sound troubleshooting skills and techniques are required Strong attention to detail requiredKforce is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
