Job Description: Our client, a leader in the Aerospace & Avionics Industry, is currently looking for a Tool Engineer 3 to join their growing St. Louis team!

This is a 6-month contract with the possibility for extension or conversion, contingent on performance.

On-Site at Hazelwood, MO location.

Secret security clearance is required pre-start.
  • Evaluates program and project requirements, develops complex equipment and tooling concepts and designs solutions for the Production System.
  • Compiles and analyzes technical data to determine the effects on product engineering design and rate estimates, identifies robotics, automation or technology recommendations and system integration for equipment and tooling.
  • Ensures compliance with safety, producibility, maintainability, reliability, ergonomic factors and regulatory requirements.
  • Validates contractual performance milestones, maintains configuration control, conducts reviews, prepares plans for productions readiness, preventative maintenance, and spares.
  • Conducts training for Production and Maintenance personnel.
  • Develops and implements work-arounds and maintains configuration of hardware, software and documentation.
  • Performs studies and make recommendation for disposition of assets.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)• Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry• 5+ years' experience in Manufacturing, Mechanical or Tool Engineering• 5+ years' experience with NX and/or CATIA 3D systemsPreferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)• 5+ years' experience working in a manufacturing environment• Experience designing and fabricating assembly and test fixture solutions• Experience in composites fabrication• Experience developing conceptual designs for tooling fixtures
