Job Summary:
We are seeking an Academic Advisor to join our team and provide Education Services at the Community College of the Air Force (CCAF) at Whiteman Air Force Base (AFB). Start date as soon as possible.
Work Hours:
Part-time, variable hours scheduled between 07:30am-4:30pm with 2-day advance notice.
Minimum of 2 hours per call.
Estimated 25 hours per week.
Job Duties:
Provide advisement on CCAF, Air University (AU), CLEP/DANTES testing, and related tasks.
Conduct on-site CCAF counseling.
Answer phones, assist customers, provide hands-on assistance, and schedule appointments.
Make inquiries to Air Force professional guidance counselors or other staff specialists on behalf of students.
Provide tuition assistance information, GI Bill information, and career counseling documentation to eligible active duty personnel.
Requirements:
A degree with at least 24 semester hours in relevant education-related coursework. For example, credits obtained in Tests and Measurement, Adult Education, Educational Program Administration, Curriculum Development or Design, Teaching Methods, Guidance and Counseling, Career Planning, or Occupational Information. Experience in an education or counseling-related field, or at least two years of CCAF equivalent advisory and customer service experience. (desired)
