Job Description

We are currently seeking a Senior Integrated Technology Consultant to focus on areas within the Capacity Management solution suite including solutions focused on improved patient throughput, automating operational processes, real-time location services for location awareness, and electronic dashboards. As a Senior Integrated Technology Consultant you will guide the client and Cerner colleagues in identifying and executing the changes required to achieve defined benefits. Using effective consulting skills in meetings and project events, the consultant drives the client through the design of clinical and operational processes, solutions and technology workflows, and successful adoption that will lead to desired value. You will be responsible for the implementation and configuration of the technical infrastructure including sub-license software, layered software, hardware platform and operating system. The Senior Integrated Technology Consultant regularly consults with clients on best practices, issue resolution and experience guidance in order to improve the performance/reliability of client's technical infrastructure.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications
  • At least 8 years total combined higher education and related work experience
    • Bachelors Degree in IT, Science, Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Business or Health Care.
    • At least 2 years of health care information technology (HCIT) consulting, HCIT support and/or other client-facing or HCIT solution work experience
  • Receipt of the appropriate government security clearance card applicable for your position
  • Due to the client contract you will be assigned, this position requires you to be a U.S. citizen

Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience with patient throughput solutions, workflows, hospital admission/registration processed and/or other related hospital operations
  • Previous client consulting experience
  • Previous Cerner Millennium application experience
  • Experience with managing large, complex full cycle solution implementations
  • Experience with systems management and operations for client/server applications

Expectations
  • Must be willing to travel up to 100% as needed
  • Must reside near a major international airport

Due to specific client contract requirements, this position requires that the successful candidate be a U.S. citizen. The client contract also requires receipt of the appropriate government security clearance card applicable for the position.
