Job Description

At Cerner, we are addressing the most complex health care challenges by creating products and technologies that connect people and systems worldwide. As a User Interface Designer I, you will leverage strong visual design skills to produce content for solution interfaces, business imperatives and team materials. Your focus will be defining and applying visual design styles and standards through the lens of HCI concepts. You will collaborate with teams by initiating, attending, and participating in meetings and critiques and ensure accuracy and quality of graphic design work. You will facilitate design sessions to help define vision, user stores, functional requirements, wireframes, and visual prototypes. The Interface Designer I will also develop a strategy for graphics used in solutions and other design materials, design and develop a creative concept and storyboard.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications
  • At least 4 years of total combined higher education and related work experience, including:
      • Bachelor's degree in Human Factors Engineering, Human Computer Interaction, Cognitive Psychology, Ergonomics, or other related field
Expectations
  • Willing to work additional or irregular hours as needed and allowed by local regulations
  • Work in accordance with corporate and organizational security policies and procedures, understand personal role in safeguarding corporate and client assets and take appropriate action to prevent and report any compromises of security within scope of the position
  • Perform other responsibilities as assigned
