- Perform job site inspections in the field. Includes observing, monitoring, and documenting the execution of construction work performed by utility and contract crews. Inspections to include (overhead & underground) streetlight installation and maintenance, pole inspections, joint use, and other miscellaneous as may be required. Perform quality inspections on recently completed work utilizing established check lists. Perform and document safety audits, utilizing company safety standards.Duties and Responsibilities:
- Monitors job progress to ensure work quality, adherence to standards, guidelines, processes and procedures to meet in service dates.
- Documenting inspection results through the use of company checklists and other reporting repositories as requires.
- Collaborate with the various departments in which we support to ensure all resource needs are proactively met.
- Follow safety culture in all work. Ensure safety procedures are being followed faithfully through audits and that any deviations are handled swiftly
- Previous electrical construction operations & maintenance experience required. Experience as a field inspector is preferred.
- Excellent technical, communication, and organizational skills
- You must have the ability to work in a variety of weather conditions and navigate terrains associated with construction sites.
- Complete knowledge of how to build a build a pole, install pole attachments (transformers, capacitor banks, repeaters, etc.)
- Be able to show competency equivalent to a Lead Lineman Splicer. Working Conditions: Combination of field and office work.
