Job Description:

Role Overview

As an Institutional Funds Representative, you will be responding to caller inquiries with an expected high level of accuracy, while providing an excellent quality customer service experience. This position is an excellent career building opportunity that will have you professionally interacting with shareholders, brokers and dealers in our inbound call center. Working as part of a team to provided proactive and innovative solutions with a high attention to detail, service quality, and account accuracy.

What you will be doing

  • Daily work includes phone coverage for routine inquires, transaction processing/data entry, while maintaining high standards of quality assurance. Occasionally calls may be more complex and/or require escalation.
  • Maintain records for customers (e.g. shareholders, broker/dealers, third-party entities, institutions and client fund groups) and answer inquiries related to fund performance, account status and activity.
  • Process financial and non-financial mutual fund and corporate security transactions, set up new accounts, perform research and resolve problems related to specific transactions through the utilization of various industry-related products/systems.
  • Meet and surpass quality and productivity objectives within current role; bringing a quality mindset to all aspects of the work.
  • Evaluate and follow internal processes, controls, and procedures to ensure compliance with client, service level agreement, company, industry, and/or legal regulations.
  • Review transactions for quality, ensuring the accuracy of the work entered; escalating areas of concern as needed for quality improvement purposes.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external clients.
  • Utilize internal and external resources to maintain a working knowledge of relevant account and industry trends.
  • Take initiative to cross train in different areas to expand knowledge, develop new skills to develop career within the organization.
  • Lead and collaborate as a liaison between cross-functional teams and external parties.
  • Assist with training others as new hires onboard and/or cross training needs are identified within the team.

  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Demonstrated computer skills with the ability to navigate and toggle between multiple programs simultaneously to perform daily functions. Experience with Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel & Outlook. Experience with AWD, TA2000, Control Workstation and other banking software platforms are beneficial but not required.
  • Ability to work independently as well as within a team environment.
  • Self-motivation with demonstrated ability to work and collaborate in a virtual environment.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's Degree with related industry experience preferred.
  • Banking, investment or a financial background preferred.
  • At least one to two years of previous customer service experience within retail, banking or financial services preferred.
  • Access to high-speed internet in order to meet remote work requirements.
