This role is based within the Information Security architecture team and provides hands-on development expertise aimed at customer problem solving and security architect support. This individual will apply the principles of software engineering to the design, implementation, configuration, and optimization of security solutions in support of applications, databases, test automation tools, DevOps processes, and Commercial Off the Shelf (COTS) products. This is not a development based opportunity but some code development knowledge is highly desirable.

Key Activities:

• Demonstrates technical skill in at least one programming general purpose language Java, C#, Python, Angular, Grails etc.• Performs peer reviews using software engineering principles, patterns, and development guidelines.• Develops strong partnerships and relationships with business customers and key stakeholders. • Partners with customers in the development of innovative solutions that achieve business goals.• Reviews and analyzes business and technical requirements, and implements technical solutions to meet those requirements.• Leads alternative analyses, including researching solutions, helps develop frameworks, and best practices, and making recommendations on delivery solutions.• Participates in security related root cause analysis, issue troubleshooting, escalation management, or after-action reviews as needed.• Reviews and analyzes business and technical requirements, and implements technical solutions to meet those requirements.• Leads by example and consistently demonstrates high performance in the areas of customer service, collaboration, teamwork, and reliability. • Proficient at communicating status and progress on assignments. Raises issues and risks in a timely fashion and effectively contributes to mitigating activities.

Qualifications: • Typically requires 0-3 years of relevant experience.• Bachelor's degree specializing in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics), or a closely related field, from an accredited college or university, or equivalent combination of directly related education and/or experience.• Intermediate understanding of subject. Has in-depth and/or breadth of knowledge in discipline. Performs work independently with limited supervision and direction. Serves as a resource for less experienced staff.

• Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python, IaC, Terraform or other is desirable • Demonstrated knowledge with some of the following technologies on a Cloud platform: AWS cloud native, AZURE, Python, Java, GitLab and containerized environments.• Working knowledge of Information Security concepts, including NIST-based control compliance.• Applied knowledge of Agile practices, SAFe/Lean principles.• Working knowledge of MS Office products including Visio, PowerShell or PowerApps working knowledge is a plus.• Applies knowledge of industry best practices towards effective problem solving and solution development. • Excellent initiative, innovative thinking skills, and the ability to analyze details and adopt a big-picture view. • Ability to support multiple complex projects simultaneously.• Excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to explain complex technical information to technical and non-technical contacts including executive audiences.
