Job Description

As an Interface Architect in Integrated Technology Consulting, you will consult with clients on product workflows and work with vendors working through system interdependencies integrating systems with the Cerner Clairvia Solution Suite . You will also assist our consulting teams with client-specific design to meet workflow requirements and make recommendations to clients on system integration improvement strategies. The Interface Architect partners with the project team to guide clients on best practices, issue resolution, and client experience. We are currently seeking experienced Interface Architects to focus on the Cerner Clairvia Solution Suite including solutions focused on scheduling, caregiver assignments, and reporting capabilities to improve operational efficiency across healthcare organizations. Working Environment Hybrid & Onsite: No Relocation Assistance Offered This position offers a Hybrid & Onsite working environment. Meaning you will split working time between a Cerner office or client site and remote. If your current geographical location requires relocating, Cerner will not offer relocation assistance to the specified location. #LI-Hybrid

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications
  • At least 6 years of total combined higher education and related work experience, including:
    • At least 1 year of healthcare information technology (HCIT) consulting, HCIT support, and/or other client-facing or HCIT solution work experience
    • At least 5 years of higher education and/or additional work experience directly related to the duties of the job including:
      • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering or relevant degree or equivalent work experience

Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems or related field, or equivalent relevant work experience
  • At least 5 years of database work experience
  • At least 3 years of HL7, X12, IHE, or comparable interface work experience
  • At least 5 years of Linux command line work experience
  • At least 5 years of programming work experience
  • Previous experience with the Cerner Clairvia solution suite
  • Previous experience with health system operations
  • Cerner Millennium application experience
  • Experience managing and leading large, complex full cycle solution implementations
  • Experience implementing client/server applications
  • Possess decision-making skills as well as the ability to deal with ambiguity
  • Strong presentation and facilitation skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills within multiple teams and end clients
  • Attention to detail and process orientated
  • Strong analytic, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities
  • Demonstrates the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize work to meet adapting deadlines

Expectations
  • Willing to travel up to 40% as needed
  • Must currently reside in or be willing to relocate to an already virtually approved location
  • Willing to work additional or irregular hours as needed and allowed by local regulations
  • Work in accordance with corporate and organizational security policies and procedures, understand personal role in safeguarding corporate and client assets and take appropriate action to prevent and report any compromises of security within the scope of the position
  • Perform other responsibilities as assigned
