Job Description
As a Production Software Engineer level I, you will be tasked to troubleshoot and analyze basic technical coding issues submitted by internal and/or external clients. In this role, you will o wn, debug and document basic investigations and resolution of issues within the code base using varied technical techniques, including modifying existing software code. You will p erform root cause analysis, help identify problem areas, make recommendations to development teams, and c ommunicate with internal and external clients and teams on issue resolution, c reate code-based queries and development testing tools. A Production Software Engineer level I will consult with clients to understand problems and requests for additional information, as well as d evelop knowledge of the assigned solution, technologies, development processes, and ecosystem. Working Environment Hybrid & Onsite: No Relocation Assistance Offered This position offers a Hybrid & Onsite working environment. Meaning you will split working time between a Cerner office or client site and remote. If your current geographical location requires relocating, Cerner will not offer relocation assistance to the specified location. #LI-HybridQualifications Basic Qualifications- At least 4 years total combined related work experience and completed higher education, including:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or related field, or equivalent relevant work experience
- Ability to communicate technical issues and solutions with multiple teams including end users and external clients
- Experience with all, or any of these skills is ideal:
- MSSQL or other databases
- IDE PowerBuilder
- Jira ticketing system
- Troubleshooting of Windows OS
- Perform other responsibilities as assigned
- Willing to work additional or irregular hours as needed and allowed by local regulations
- Work in accordance with corporate and organizational security policies and procedures, understand personal role in safeguarding corporate and client assets and take appropriate action to prevent and report any compromises of security within the scope of the position
