job summary:

Randstad Technologies is seeking an experienced Project Manager for an opportunity in the Kansas City area. This person will be responsible for guiding cross-functional project teams to drive deliverables for projects. The ideal candidate will need to be able to demonstrate the ability to drive projects, communicate effectively across the enterprise and have a good understanding of Agile.

Expected Background

  • Five or more years of Project Management experience with the ability to blend Agile and traditional project management principles and practices in the right proportions to successfully deliver software and vendor solutions.
  • Experience using project management tools such as ADO, TFS, Jira, Rally, etc., Microsoft Project,
  • Visio, and all Office tools.
  • Experience overseeing multi-function project teams, including developers, business analysts, and QA personnel.
  • In-depth knowledge and understanding of business needs, with the ability to establish & maintain a high level of customer trust and confidence.
  • Very effective interpersonal skills including mentoring, coaching, collaborating, and team building.
  • Analytical, planning, and organizational skills with an ability to manage competing demands.
  • Proven ability to lead projects and ensure that objectives, goals, and commitments are met.
  • Creative approach to problem-solving with the ability to focus on details while keeping in mind the big picture.

responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with stakeholders and team members to identify project and resource gaps.
  • Facilitate discussions among teams regarding performance in the areas of project flow and velocity.
  • Support Product Owner during backlog management.
  • Remove impediments outside team's authority to drive completion of various iterations.
  • Facilitate retrospective & change management activities aimed at best practices and continuous improvement.
  • Manage Scrum teams made up of business and technical team members.
  • Understanding of CI/CD strategy and tactics where a diverse array of technical and business team members participate in iterative delivery.
