Job Description:

Performance Overview:

Manages strategic client relationships and develops client solutions. Interacts with multiple product groups, and develops and coordinates projects among those groups on behalf of clients, ensuring that product deliverables are met. Sets up client billing and ensures billing meets contractual obligations, including resource allocation.

As a Client Relations Manager, you will:
  • Manage overall client expectations and service delivery
  • Communicate and set appropriate expectations with client and internal service teams
  • Assist clients in identifying critical needs based on their business models
  • Introduce new products, services and system capabilities to support their business models
  • Understand the client's management structure and how best to assist SS&C to navigate the organization.
  • Lead and facilitate client meetings and calls, providing meeting summaries and project updates.
  • Carefully prioritize responsibilities, pro-actively communicate, and use sound judgement on all client interactions to ensure desired outcomes of retention and satisfaction
  • Monitor and follow up on assigned tasks, seeing problems / opportunities through to timely resolution with the client.
  • Provide timely and accurate service level reporting to assigned clients
  • Conduct at times difficult conversations with assigned clients
  • Identify incremental revenue opportunities and understand financial and operational goals of SS&C.
  • Assist in determining budgets and goals for department in conjunction with senior and subordinate management
  • Recommend and/or implement changes to improve service expectations, productivity, and cost effectiveness of department operations.
  • Interact with multiple product and support groups to develop and implement client projects.
  • Responsible for hiring, performance appraisals, and merit reviews of direct reports.

Qualifications you bring to the table:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of formal education and work experience.
  • 4-6 years of financial services or relevant work experience
  • 3-5 years of relationship management / client services experience with at least 1 year of management responsibility.
  • Project management experiences
  • Problem solving and numerical reasoning skills; ability to analyze and take action
  • Career oriented, highly motivated, and self-starting individual
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, team environment
  • Efficient time management with strong organizational skills
  • Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new systems, processes, plans, and programs
  • Proficiency in use of business productive tools such as word processing, spreadsheets, data management, project management, and presentations
