Responsibilities

Storage Team Lead

  • Leads the Storage, Backup and Capacity Management team
    • Maintains assignment of work across team members and ensures cross-training and skill leveling to ensure coverage for 24x7 operations
    • Supports 24x7 on-call requirements for system operation and customer restoral; serves as technical expert in support of customer restoral requirements
  • Team is responsible for all Storage, Backup and Capacity activities across Classified, Unclassified, Staging environments on-prem and in hybrid cloud environments
    • Engineers, troubleshoots, operates, maintains On-Prem and cloud-integrated storage and backup systems
    • Monitoring, triage, prioritization and assignment of incidents and work orders as part of Data Center workload and incident response processes
    • Responsible for developing, documenting, submitting, and executing changes to the storage and backup infrastructure
    • Provides secure, reliable, high-availability storage and backup services for hosted customers and datacenter infrastructure
    • Manages capacity reporting and monitoring to ensure successful datacenter hosting service delivery
  • Serves as the technical expert in the design, engineering, operation, sustainment and modification of on-prem and cloud-based Storage Area Network and associated firmware, hardware, and applications as well as the backup infrastructure to support recovery of datacenter and customer systems and data across all supported data center environments
  • Collaborates with other teams to provide Disaster Recovery and Continuity of Operations capabilities consistent with the program roadmap
  • Collaborates with Operations & Integration architect and other government and contractor team leads to provide effective, efficient and best fit storage and backup solutions for datacenter services
  • Coordinates with vendors and government engineering staff for installation, upgrade, configuration, administration, automation and optimization of the Storage and Backup infrastructure
  • Develops and maintains storage, backup, and capacity event, performance, and management monitoring plan and provides documentation and training for Technical Assistance Center troubleshooting and event/incident response

Qualifications

Requires 8 to 10 years with BS/BA or 6 to 8 years with MS/MA or 3 to 5 years with PhD.DOD Secret Clearance, US CitizenIAT II Certification requiredStorage or Backup System training or certification in one of technologies supportedCloud Storage/Backup experience desiredITIL certification or ITSM Experience highly desired

Colorado Salary Minimum: $73,673.60 Colorado Salary Maximum:$157,497.60 The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position, and is just one component of Perspecta's total compensation package for employees.
