Job Description
As a system Engineer 1, you will provide system implementation, support, monitoring and maintenance of Cerner's solutions and services for events. Performing daily system operations tasks to verify event readiness along with performing ongoing performance tuning, hardware/OS upgrades, and resource optimization is key to success. Implementing solutions to provide a high-quality event experience and responding to alarms in a timely manner while preventing client impact and performance degradation. Deploy physical and Virtual servers, ability to complete assigned incident management tasks is also required for this job. This associate will also manage changes and project activities, and communicate with impacted stakeholders, develop, and deploy automation tools to optimize daily activities, and complete assigned incident management tasks. In addition to these duties this System Engineer I will deploy, setup, and maintain testing environments and provide other support per service request. Working Environment REMOTE This position offers a Remote working environment. Meaning you can live and work in your current geographical location and work primarily remote. There could be times you will be requested to travel and/or visit a Cerner office or client site. #RemoteQualifications Basic Qualifications- At least 4 years total combined related work experience and completed higher education, including:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Software Engineering or related field, or equivalent relevant work experience
- IT Healthcare experience
- Linux and Windows OS/engineering background, SQL knowledge, some basic development/scripting skills, networking basics/understanding
